About Us

Deans Marine Services Limited is a family run business that was incorporated in March 2007. The Managing Director John J Dean has been on the river from 3 years of age. His passion and commitment for his work is exhibited with each new challenge the business takes.

Deans Marine began by mainly providing skipper, engineering and labour services to operate tug’s, barges, work boats and other forms of vessels along the River Hull, Humber and Trent. In addition to piloting, skippering, engine and vessel maintenance, consultancy services and pilot training where given by John.

Investments have been made over the years into a varied number of vessels and currently Deans Marine Services is complimented with work boats and a pilot launch.

More recently we have added to the compliment of vessels a crane barge with pontoons, a tug boat and a tanker barge suitable for carrying vegetable oil.

In addition to the vessels the dry dock does have a 30 meter wet berth outside the dock.

Deans Marine also work together with Deans Tugs and Workboats and can offer a wide range of towing vessels from 2 Tonnes to 20 Tonne bollard pull tugs, also 24mtr Multicat in CAT2.
